In Japan they have fancy little restaurants where they
actually serve food for your pet.
You can also rent an animal for a walk for the day,
like armadillos and hedgehogs, they call it 'rent a pet'.

Also monkeys as waiters, that's classy. Monkey training facilities could be a huge industry in America, and waiter monkeys, then monkey breeding would become an export industry... that'd be grand.
