On one hand yeah, threats like that should be investigated to see if they're serious. However, it's kind of hard to draw the line sometimes, you don't need to start arresting kids for telling someone else they're going to "fuck 'em up" in a videogame.

Isn't the government spying supposed to prevent terrorist attacks coming from elsewhere? I thought it only caused a scandal when it was revealed that it also spied on US citizens.

Also why take domestic threats seriously. Everybody knows all terrorists are Arabs. /sarcasm

Um...in this case the seizing of weapons from an obviously unstable person making terrorist threats against an ethnic group is definitely worth it. Why would anyone think it isn't? Do they think allowing mentally unstable people to own dangerous weapons legally is *worth* hate crimes and terrorism?

Theyre fine with infringing on civil liberties as long as it doesnt affect stuff THEY like.

Terrorist attack in France kills one, injures two

At least 27 dead in terrorist attack in Tunisia

At least 25 reported dead in terrorist attack in Kuwait. ISIS claims responsibility for the suicide bombing.

In better news, US Supreme Court rules same-sex marriage bans as unconstitutional, effectively making same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states.

Christ, I haven't felt this devastated by the news in years. :(

But the gay marriage thing is a ray of light!

I should not have read Facebook, i should NOT have read Facebook

The majority of people were celebrating though, so that's a good thing. Hopefully this gets people to see that the country won't explode just because some people get to be happily married.

Apparently there was also a law passed so that federal employee health benefits have to assist with transition-related costs for trans employees. And while I'm pop flyin' that that's a thing, it also makes me wary of potential discrimination against trans people applying for federal jobs.

Yup, my Facebook wall is about 50/50 for and against it. Funny to read the posts by the people against it. Mostly just people saying they're disgusted. Almost makes me want to argue with them, but arguing with idiots is a waste of time.

Maybe its because my parents didnt suck but I honestly cannot grasp why anyone has a problem with gay marriage, or gay people overall, its a complete non-issue. It bodaciously could not have less of an effect on anyone who isnt gay, any opposition seems to be based on them thinking its gross. Thats like forbidding fat people from getting married because you think the idea of them having sex is gross. Its intolerant and narcissistic.

Yea, I agree. But the important thing is that the people's opinions against it don't count for shit anymore here in the US!

I'm actually concerned about conservative lawmakers trying to find a way to reverse the decision, though.

If it can last for a decent amount of time, though, the public might just give up on trying to fight it. And I'm pretty sure pro-gay marriage folk outnumber the anti-gay folk. Its just a matter of what moves the lawmakers will do next.
