AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Dragons are a bit overhyped right now. Many people are taking it as a "fresh boost" the game needed, but basically Dragons are exactly the same as they were when they were colorless. Except now they don't have weakness damage from Chansey and other normal types.

That being said, it's already becoming apparent that AltChomp and Em/Eel Quaza are going to do some damage. Darkdreigon is a bit of an underdog that hasn't seen much use but has had good results (and I gotta love a set up where the energy is fluid and the retreat is nulled).

It'll be interesting to see how the year progresses without staple Trainers being in. Hopefully the next 2-3 sets will give us SOME trainers and stadiums to work with since we're starved of them right now.

Hello my fellow cardboard enthusiasts, I require your help on a vital decision. On tuesday, I will be entering a tournament for yugimons and I need YOU to help decide which deck I will use.



These two deck boxes hold what I intend to use. Both of which are missing cards, but they do play well without said cards I need.



First of which is a deck full of cannibal insect fiends that can potentially screw with decks that exist out there by tribute summoning for busted booty effects however can be easily shut down and are not tiering in anyways possible.



Second is a Machine deck that spams out synchros like a fucking baws. Summons big beaters, can easily take down a few of the meta decks out there. However, the deck is very vulnerable, one counter and my loop doesn't work and I can't swarm the field.

Both these decks have their strengths and weaknesses and I like playing these to death... it's just...

I sure as hell wouldn't wanna duel the insect deck killer. I hate losing by deck out.

If one deck can be shut down in one counter and the other can't then the choice should be clear.

Use the Ancient Gear deck

Maybe I over exaggerated but both decks do have way that they can be shut down. Hell, several cards can severly screw with prior's attempt to tribute summon, recycle said tributes and the engine can be stopped by banishing one card. Also, hand advantage is very tricky with this deck and if I don't start off with a good amount of tribute monsters I'm screwed.

Meanwhile I fear effect negations for the other deck which is very prevalent currently which puts a halt to my spams, however, there is support that does work to give me control over their field indefinitely, while I summon big beaters to the field and attack with a large arsenal of monsters.

Hence my current situation, both decks have their strengths but they both also have a huge gaping weaknesses that can cripple their momentum entirely.

I bought $30 worth of singles online for a Warrior Tank raiding deck. I'm kind of excited, but I feel kind of bad... I'm used to building decks from scratch with cards that I've collected. But I guess that's how adults play card games.

As a side note I'm glad that WoW cards are so cheap.

I think people come to expect Synchro Spamming nowadays.
Maybe mix it up with your Black Box.

Anybody else planning on picking up Izzet vs. Golgari? The decklists look absolutely stellar this time around.

So earlier this week I threw this together, and honestly it's probably my favorite deck I've made in a long time. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that it actually has a plan to win instead of just mashing random creatures at the opponent and hoping for the best.

Playing Magic for first time.
