I assume you use topcoat or such? Also, q-tips are really nice to clean off the extra crudules that end up forming around your fingers after you add the polish.

I didn't use a topcoat, actually, but I've been told that's really just so it doesn't come off as easily? My toes are still fine, though...

topcoats help smooth out fancy designs and yeah, keep the paint from coming off as easy. which just polish will chip like a mofo after like, a day. a topcoat will keep it for ages.

i've never heard of thinning paints though? unless they're old? idk i rarely pant my nails anymore because i moved back near my family who believes any kind of vanity is evil lmao.

Toes stay painted way longer than fingers in general, but yeah without top coat fingers will be hyper chipped after a day or two of any activity. How quick your toes go also depends upon activity, but to a lesser degree I'd say

If you're always keeping them covered with socks, that will make a difference as well.

I haven't really been out and about a lot except to go to work, haha.

Also it's possible that my applying another coat to even it out helped?

In other news I'm trying to work out how to meet up with Jon eventually just on my end. Like the only plausible excuse I can make is that I'm going on a weekend/spring break trip with friends, but I'd have to like, carefully concoct a plan involving people she knows and trusts, and that means roping them in on it. Like, I have friends that know I'm gay and would vouch for me, but mom will want to have their numbers in case she can't reach me, and it's like, that's a lot of bullshit to make anyone go through on my part. And especially if anything goes wrong...
