I think so, my wrists hurt after doing push-ups sometimes too. I usually just have to rotate my hands around till a find a more comfortable position though.

A wrist brace can be helpful, though it might just be the way you're holding it that's causing the problem.

I think I had a legit, medical definition panic attack today. Is this something I should just be cautious about, or seriously concerned?

Neither until you confirm whether it was an actual panic attack.

It seems like every day I become more convinced that I have adult ADD. Like, a lot of people say they have ADD when they really don't or joke around about it, but I've talked with my psychologist and counselor about it, done some research, and I feel like it's really impairing my ability to function. I can't sit down and finish a relatively simple assignment, I get distracted or put off starting it. It's so frustrating that I can't seem to will myself to just finish it and be done with it.

A while back my doctor gave me a trial pack of some medication, not adderall or ritalin or the big stimulants like that, but a once-a-day pill used to treat ADHD. Trouble is that it didn't help at all over the few weeks I used it, all I got were really annoying side effects.

Right now it seems the only other option would be to look into the stimulants, but trouble is you need some sort of official review by certified psychologists (or something) to get a prescription (since people would abuse them otherwise). If I do that on campus or at a clinic, though, it's a few hundred dollars that isn't covered by insurance and that's just a pain. Currently my plan is to ask my doctor back in my hometown about it, to see if there's a cheaper way to get that paperwork, but that'd be after finals that I'm having trouble studying for, unfortunately

Just, bluh, its no fun. In the meantime I'm hoping I can find some studying strategies that might work better than whatever I'm doing...

If the medications for ADHD didn't affect you, it might be because you don't have it. It's one thing to talk to your psychologist and counselor, another to actually get tested for it. Did they even say you have it, or was it the usual, "Maybe this, maybe that; this could mean one thing or something else entirely"?

Getting off the computer helped me quite a bit when I noticed I was having intense issues focusing. Even if I had to write a paper, I'd make myself do a physical draft/outline, which would normally get me in the zone enough to finish on the computer.

I was eating dinner and then suddenly I had part of my top left first molar in my mouth. Didn't hurt or anything, but you know, I'm now absolutely paranoid about my tooth falling out. Can't get a dentist's appointment before my holiday, so gonna be at least three weeks worrying bout this. Anyone else had something like that happen, just to reassure me?

I've just had an... interesting.... bowel movement. Won't go to into detail (this ain't the tmi thread anymore) but is there anything aside from food that could cause my stool to come out as a liquid?

I just ate some chicken wings thirty~ minutes ago, and hadn't eaten anything for almost 24 before then, so I don't think food could be responsible?

If you're sick sometimes no matter what you eat your tummy and intestines don't digest it properly.

I recommend you drink lots of water and/or green tea to keep your self hydrated if it continues. Or possibly you need to glug up your body, white rice should stopper it without being harsh on your tummy if there is a problem.

That could mean the lower part of your digestive tract doesn't absorb enough liquid because microvilli don't work properly (which could be caused by bacteria if I'm not mistaken).
So like Dire said, make sure to keep hydrated.

It depends why you eat.
If you're always hungry, try to get food that sates you more so you don't go back to eat until a couple hours later.
If you eat when you're bored, try to find something else to do, or something better/less caloric to eat (I like puffed rice for that).
In any case, it wouldn't hurt to just not have only junk to eat, though I don't know if you have a say in what food your family buys.

For about a year and a half now, I've started eating a truckload of fruits, mostly grapefruits (I eat them as if they were oranges) and pomegranates. I like the taste (better than any artificial flavor imo), it takes a while to eat, so it reduces the pace at which you eat, and it keeps you occupied because you have to extract the parts you want to eat etc. Anything you can't just eat in two bites will slow you down and should satisfy you for longer.

Pomegranates are so good. If you could get your hands on some prepicked seeds, Nachalnik, I bet you'd love it.
