I seem to have lost my alcohol tolerance somehow. On the bright side parties will be a lot cheaper now.

Supermarkets here sell booze and other types of weak alcohol. Everything stronger than 4.7% is only available from Alko which is a state-owned store.
The states have this, too. ABC stores. Most supermarkets won't sell liquor with more than a certain amount of alcohol. It might vary in states, or maybe some grocery stores can get special licenses, because a grocery store I used to work at in California ad a case of locked-up vodkas and rums for sale. Meanwhile in New Jersey and North Carolina, I can't get any Mike's Harder Lemonade because it has a higher alcohol content than Mike's Hard (also can't get vodkas and such).

I haven't seen the selection of liquors in Wal-Mart so I don't know if they sell anything above a certain percent.

i've only ever seen beer, wine, champagne, and margarita mixes in stores like walmart (department store) or kroger (groceries and household items like cleaners and toilet paper.) you have to go to a spec's or other liquor store to get anything more alcoholic than that. and specs are sooooo overwhelming ahh ; ;

The Walmart around here don't sell liquor insert. Its wine and beer

Though there is a zoning issue and a proposition to have 7 liquor licenses instead of 3 so public might start

Now do you take this as an insult, or the waiter/waitress/clerk just didn't care, or do you look old enough?

My mom is turning 50 in July and still gets carded on occasion. Immortality runs in the family. I'll finally lose my babyface when I'm 30 or so.

I didn't get carded picking up that rum, I'm only 23. I know I look like a mountain man but come on liquor people.

I occasionally still get carded, but a friend of mine gets carded ALL THE TIME, despite being the same aage as me. Its not that he even looks that young, he's just really short

I got carded up until I was about 25? I probably just look 8 years younger than I am.

i got carded to buy toilet cleaner when i was 18 :'[

i ALWAYS get carded when we go into liquor stores. i mean i've got it out and ready anyway coz i'm a good legal citizen, but while i simply look young/my age, my husband looks like he's about 16 or so we still get the shifty eyes as we browse lol. he's actually be asked like "are you SURE you're 23 coz you don't look it" haahaha

Yeah, I'm thinking Sloth is going to have that problem too. I've looked 20 for about the past five years, but he's looked 15 or 16 for that same time frame. And his voice just naturally isn't very low, so it adds to the impression that he's younger.
