Okay, Trygve is one of the few close by.

I trust him. But the rest of you are outsiders.

Next time I visit Iceland, I gonna drop in and say hello. And the next time you visit Kristiansand or Oslo, you can do the same.

I'll be moving to a place called Tálknafjörður in three weeks.

Going to hang with family there.

While in St. Louis, I got into a discussion with the group of people I went with about why there are so many places in the USA named after foreign places and people.

I think I ended the conversation with 'thank god nobody from Iceland had an influence on the names in this country'.

I know people who have trouble pronouncing Versailles.
Tálknafjörður would be the equivalent of suicide.

What is the English version of the sound that the little curvy "d" with the cross over it makes?

No way.

Indeed, I do.

I've hinted at that before, saying that no one can ever pronounce the name of my town. In fact, another forumer posted the wiki page of Puyallup, saying that was where they were from, and I responded saying that I was as well. So yeah.

That was me

But you didn't put down a pin which is mildly frustrating because I kind of want to know if I've passed your house or something now

Oh, you mean ð?

It sounds somewhat like 'th' in sentences.

So it would come our fjorthur.
