If you think about every show you watched as a kid, and you think about all the ones that got canceled, it's really harsh to think the characters all died.

Rocko, Hef and Filbert got into a horrible car wreck.

Dexter and his family were murdered by a robot he created.

Doug drowned, and so did Porkchop, trying to save him.

Johnny Bravo died of testicular cancer.

Kenan and Kel, just silly teenagers, thought to try drugs, but went too far.

The Midnight Society never gathered again after Gary died.

When you put a realistic spin on things, and think about your favorite characters as mortal, it becomes a great deal more horrible to think they're gone forever. Many shows are canceled after a leading actor dies, what if that were the case with every show. It's immensely sad to think of your favorite characters, especially when they're comedic, in a vulnerable state, emotionally or physically.
