The waiting period is over (longest three days of my life) and I now have in my possession my first firearm.

What did you get? I've got a shotgun that we keep for home defense. My brother uses it sometimes to bird hunt. I've always wanted a pistol because they're fun to shoot and ammo is relatively cheap for them, but I'm not 21 yet :/. I remember a cousin of mine once went to get a pistol but they wouldn't let him buy it because he was 19, so he bought an AR-15 instead. Always kinda thought that was funny, that they let him get an assault rifle, but not a pistol.

Also, I assume you've been around guns before, but just in case, be sure to treat it as if it's always loaded even when you're sure it's not. Don't point it at anything that you wouldn't be okay with losing.

I'm familiar enough to know the basic rules which can be summed up as "this is a dangerous weapon, if you treat it like a toy someone will be seriously injured or killed." I haven't gotten any ammo for it yet, and I'm definitely not loading it until I get some training and practice.

It's a Ruger GP100. Blued steel, 6" fully shrouded barrel, double-action, .357 Magnum or .38 Special, black molded rubber grip that fits my hand perfectly. It's a solid revolver, and Ruger has a reputation for guns built to last. I fell in love with it when I saw it in the counter, and when I researched it I just kept finding more to like about it.

On the topic of the AR-15, it's a semi-automatic rifle, not an assault rifle. Fully automatic weapons in the States are only legal with a special license, and a whole list of caveats and rules that kind of make it not worth owning one. I'm looking into getting a cheap rifle next, a .22 or something like that just for target practice.

Ah, my bad, I thought any type of semi auto or full auto rifle could be classified as an assault rifle. I actually have a single shot .22 as well. I'd like a semi auto one. The thing about .22s though is that the ammo can sometimes be hard to come by.

I've actually never shot a revolver before. I've shot every other type of gun besides that. I just want a simple 9mm to keep locked away in my room. I haven't researches it very well yet though to figure out what I actually want.

Why is it when I read this my mind goes to you listing off examples?

"AK-47, 9mm, rocket launcher, 75mm gun on a M4 Sherman..."

Just got home from a grueling 12 and a half hour shift, and man does it feel good to be able to rest finally. Feels so much better than normal because the day was so hard beforehand.

Last time I went to my father's house I decided on a whim to bring back some novels from a series I read when I was 11-14 and never since and I've been rereading them since Friday evening and ahh the memories too many warm fuzzies

I used to read a lot and at some point I stopped entirely and now I'm remembering how great it is.

Made an apple pie on a whim, after walking around a hiking trail in the rain, and before doing my homework, and I successfully made a gorgeous, intact, lattice crust on the first try! That's something that some people struggle with for ages.(And I don't really make pies very often)
And my unmeasured improvised seasoning for the apples was excellent. It was a stick of butter, a handful of brown sugar, a fair bit of cinnamon, some nutmeg, ginger, a tiny bit of clove and allspice, and a splash of bourbon that I lightly pre-cooked the apples in before baking the pie. Just in case what we call "brown sugar" isn't really a thing outside of North America (or in case it's a different thing), it's granulated sugar that has molasses added back into it.

So I snuck my Wii U and Gamepad in from grandma's car (the necessary components to use one) cuz i cant go very long without videogames or YouTube. I have been using it at night instead of sleep.

Also the fact that I have Livewire Dew and Roulette Doritos in the same place at once to consume is kinda ok.

So what you're saying is that you messed up in school, and are now refusing to abide by the consequences because you can't handle not vegging out? Dude. Get ahead on school shit, find a productive fun thing to do, and don't get yourself into more trouble.
Now, put those things back in the car where, they were put for a reason, and clean your room.

I love Mom-ku.

For real, Lucario. put your things back where they were. You're gonna get in more trouble if your guardian finds out and pick your grades up to get them back.

Something like that is precisely the kind of thing to get way deep into even more trouble. Remember, the higher authorities always know when you're doing something wrong. They won't always know exactly what it was that went wrong, but they will find out. Don't give them anything to find and live with the consequences of your old actions so you don't have to face the consequences of new actions.

Problem: returning the stuff would have to involve leaving the house while grandma is asleep, which I really don't want to do (yeah. do not like my mom, and not repeating what she did.) Morals conflicting with what I should do...

But at least it's a Wii U. This prevents temptation to use it when doing homework and I sure as hell cannot bring it to school.

Also: YouTube is kinda getting on my boring side. less doing it at night.

I am a terrible person. I know. Just gotta get dem grades up... as soon as I get back to school... (Fall Break, but without Halloween!)

so go to your Grandmother and tell her what you did, that you're sorry you did it and deal with the consequences of your actions. Thats how fixing things works. f you try and sneak around it you're just going to get into more trouble. t's really not that difficult of a concept, Lucario. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them.

Just follow my sister's example. When she was 14 our mom banned her from seeing her boyfriend because she kept sneaking out at night to meet him. Well she kept sneaking out afterward and need up pregnant and her life has been downhill since then. So don't sneak around and do things or else you'll get pregnant.
