I had another impromptu party thing last Sunday and it was great.
Everyone there was cool.The girl hosting the party had a cat that spent the night walking around us for hugs. The guy who drove me there and back (we were carpooling) spontaneously helped me get the snow and the ice off of my car at 3AM when it was -16°C outside.
Those people are all extra friendly and welcoming and it's weird to me because I don't know how to deal with nice people. They're one of my friends' group of old friends and I'm not really part of the gang but it makes no difference to them. I'm the most boring person and I can't do anything and I'm afraid of everything and they don't judge me at all? I'm used to having to keep everything to myself to avoid endless waves of condescension so this is quite a paradigm shift.

Went to the grocery store to get some groceries and the bossperson there recognized me from when I turned in my application there and told me I have an interview for Thursday, meaning I basically have a job now. That's good, at least now I'll have a way to start paying off my debt and saving a little cheddar.

Might actually have a plan to do something.

I was planning on inviting people over to do shit for my birthday but it turns out my mom was already planning something. Which is good. Should be good. Hopefully.

There's this one guy I don't know that well but I was around his siblings a lot so we're friends on facebook. He seems alright.

I got the job I interviewed for. Kinda sucks because I don't have a car and the hours they gave me make it to where I'll have to wait 3 hours after my shift ends before my mom gets off work to pick me up. Oh well, I plan on getting a car in a month or two, so it'll only suck for a while. I'll just bring a book to work or something and read when my shift ends.

My favorite band is touring in my province again and I thought I wouldn't be able to see them because all the theaters they'll go to are too far/in Montreal. But then I recognized one of their songs playing on TV from the other room (while I was listening to their album!). It turned out to be an ad for one of their concerts, and that's amazing because they're a small experimental ethno band from Ukraine, which is the definition of a band you never see TV ads for. I mentioned it to my father and he told me one of the towns they're coming to is actually pretty close and we've just bought tickets to go see them. I am excite.

My internet went down. Solved it without trouble. I am drinking juice.

Finished assembling and sort of organizing miniatures for Armada. Also had a great birthday party. Saw a lot of people, did fun stuff, got a lot of cheddar/gift card gifts. Also an itunes gift card when I don't have an apple device but hey. Probably going to order a few more things I wanted to complete the Armada set but didn't have quite the balance on the gift card for.

Winter stopped hiding. The pond behind my apartment froze over.

My first day of Clinical Teaching is tomorrow and I'm hella nervous even though all I'll be doing is observing and stuff

But it's the first big step into the world of becoming a teachin' lady, so I'm pop flyin' it's actually happening. Which means that hopefully after these 14 weeks I might get a real job and then I can accomplish more stuff with my life instead of trolling through lists of part-time jobs.

....I really do hope teaching works out for me and I do well at it. At least for long enough to get my Masters and some education experience and go into counseling or whatever I end up wanting to do (probably school counseling). I have a plan and it's finally being put into action, aw here goes...

I totally didn't know you were a woman. I either missed it or forgot.

I got to speak to some old friends from my school days. I'd been worried that everyone had forgotten I exist, but apparently when they saw my name pop up on Facebook (yeah, I caved) many of them just came out of nowhere with friend requests, some of them I don't remember talking to much back then.

Apparently some had actually tried searching for me before.

That recently happened to me. My sister's friend's older sister went to school with me and when she figured out who I was (because of the name change) I started getting requests like crazy on FB.
I bought the Lego Doctor Who Set with some leftover Christmas cheddar and Part 1 of season 2 of Batman the TV show.

I'm upgrading my computer soon. I'm finally getting an ssd. It's going to be great. I'm also getting a second monitor, a better cpu, and some more ram. It's going to be such a difference in speed.
