AWKWARD ZOMBIE

I am ultra glad that my brother in law gave my dad a portable hot tub.

Spent the last 2 hours in it just relaxing and I feel so refreshed.

I just found out the college I'm going to next year has a "Earn the Bike" program where you give up your right to buy a parking pass on campus for two years in exchange for a $400 voucher for the campus bike shop. This is great for me because I don't own a car, likely won't own one in the next two years, and I hate driving anyway.

While taking a pack of potatoes I'd found on the wrong shelf back to where it was supposed to be, I noticed some tasty looking potato skins with pepperoni and cheese and red onion on it. Bought some after work and oh man that was tasty, I wish I'd bought a second pack

I might have finally found a local D&D group that'll work for me. The downside is that it's mostly fuckheads I know from work, but that just means we'll have a common schedule.

My "weekend" starts now since I don't work Thurs and Fri. Also I made burgers that didn't suck. Should not have eaten two of them though.

We had guests in class today, a Deaf lady and her daughter, and they were super nice and it was just a great time. I was so nervous and I can't believe I didn't forget any signs when I asked them questions.

The Avengers 2 hype with my group of friends is unreal.

My collegues gave me a sweet goodbye present today (boss put me in a different store come may)

I fixed the keyboard problem I talked about in the Dreams thread and now my game's server application can tell a remote client application how many points the player has.

I am finally in Tennessee.
No more bus.
No more strangers.
No more heat (a comfortable forty-five degrees Fahrenheit at this moment).

We spent all of last night with my elder brother. He apparently never played Dark Souls AND WE CAN'T HAVE THAT.

We are currently in a motel in which we used to stay when I was really young. In fact, it has the same Dole Banana sticker I stuck to the top-right of the bathroom door seventeen years ago.

I rotated my pillows last night and for the first time in two weeks my neck doesn't hurt.

The employment environments in Florida and Tennessee are so different.

Florida: My brother spent three years making phone calls, filling out applications and going to interviews. No one wanted him.

Tennessee: After the second(?) day here, Brother puts on a tie, walks across the street to McDonald's and he is practically begged to work there.

Little overdressed. Unless he's going for management, in which case I think they wear ties.

Also, moving from suburban or urban to rural does that, assuming that is what happened? Also depends on the area. Most of the places around where I live (a fairly rural town. We have a Walmart, barely have a movie theater) struggle to hold onto employees for more than 2 weeks before corporate makes the managers fire them for snorting coke in the restroom, or they "borrow" cheddar from the register to buy meth, or they stab their grandmother and go to jail, etc. If your new town is like this (help me), then they probably were amazed that someone owned a tie.
