My interview at the arboretum went great! I got to tour around the Children's Garden a bit more, it really is like an outdoor museum, lots of sciency stuff to do there.

Hopefully when they get back to me next week I'll have a job! Just a part-time thing, but it's exactly the kind of field I wanna be in.

I'm so PROUD. Like, for some reason I should get some credit? idk, but it just makes me giddy to know how well she's doing.

I have joined the elite group of people who own two cars.

My first car is a falling apart 1992 Volvo 740 stationwagon. It has 1/3 of an exhaust system, no air conditioning, and the radio is dead and stuck in the dash. Seats are in not too good shape. The car stalls occasionally and doesn't start sometimes.
Unfortunately, the official papers say "(my name) AND (my dad's name)" so he has to be present for me to sign it away or trade it in. Except we legally cannot be within a certain number of yards or communicate in any way for 3 years, so it's just going to sit around until it sorts out somehow. (maybe I'll go down to the courthouse and get my name taken off, then push it into traffic).

New car is a 1997 Mercury Cougar XR7 or something like that. Why the letters and numbers? It's easy to remember "Camry" or "Mustang", but I'll be damned if I can remember "Z19845X infinity" or someshit.

It's a REALLY NICE CAR. 1992 Volvo has like 190k miles on it.

The 1997 Cougar had 40,988 miles when I bought it. It's in EXCELLENT shape and the softtop isn't faded or anything.
It was $4,995, but I had $2,000 down payment, so I have a monthly payment of like $125 or something IT'S SO WONDERFUL

Mmmmm, soda from the bottle, refrigerator-chilled. No dispensed soda with ice cubes can possibly replicate this taste.

I know, right? Its baffling how there can be such a difference between room temp soda and refrigerated soda

I think the difference in flavor is from how they have to mix the flavored syrup as it gets pour into the glass at that moment, while having it bottles, they already have everything homogenized before filling. Something like that could lead to a certain difference in flavor.
I personally prefer fountain Sprite over bottled Sprite when given the choice. Something about it is just better than the prepackaged varieties.

my store manager is going to transfer me to a store near my parents' house temporarily so i don't have to quit ;o;

also we've found a few good houses we want to look at with big yards, and we might have one of our friends as a housemate too which will be fun, and hoxton will have a playmate

I have no clue what bizarre circumstances have spawned such a twisted creation, and I have even less idea why I love it so much.

I started singing "Guess who's back, back again. Shady's back, tell a friend." to Noff and he continued and sang a good rest of the song, and it was just really cute and made me really pop flyin'.

Got a box o' Magic card boosters and I got a holographic Flooded Strand, which went anywhere from 50 to 100 dollarydoos. Had a friend sell it, got 60, split it 50/50 and used my share to get another box which ended up having a holographic Windswept Heath, essentially the same-ish card as Flooded Strand. The card has dropped a bit in price since, but the box has already paid for itself, twice over.
