My ability to read a book is inversely proportional to how much other stuff there is for me to do. That said, I'll burn through a good novel no matter what.

Got an internship (same place as last year) and sent a bunch of job applications. I'm productive!

Oh gods, what book?

Because I got The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo collector's edition cloth-bound box set like two Christmases ago to read "when I have free time" (I have read them all before) and so far I think I'm like 2.5 chapters into the first one.

Too much internet, too much stuff to do.
Oh those are good. The first one takes a while to really start and is not as interesting as the other ones in retrospect though.

The one I read is called Mãn. It's a collection of memories and thoughts by a vietnamese woman (Kim Thúy, the author) who fled the war with her mother and ended up in Quebec. It's her third book, this one is more about her mother and their relationship.

So ASL is fun! Really, really fun! 10/10 language would recommend.

I passed a difficult exam. If I finish a paper this weekend, I'll be on cloud nine.

Got the PC out of the workshop, it's hard getting used to the 1920x1080 resolution again after being on a laptop for so long.

I am more pop flyin' about finally being able to use good speakers again.

I picked a really bad time to build my own PC. It was a while ago now (and my PC is amazing), but I decided to build it towards the end of the semester and in the time period that is now known for being full of fun stressful events that led to my parents splitting. On top of that, I had never built a PC before, so I was googling videos and following directions in packets with the stuff. :eng101:

Took me 1 1/2 days (entirely too long imo). The night in the middle was the WORST NIGHT of my life. Had a nightmare. A ridiculous one, but it was horrible. It was vivid and real, and I had been coated in green plastic (circuit boards) on every inch of my body, including over my mouth and nose, sealing them shut. I could feel electrical currents running all over my circuit board body, and I couldn't breathe at all. Every current stung, and I could feel myself getting more and more heated (like a badly put together overheating pc, obviously).

I passed out in the dream, woke up and forgot how to open my mouth and breathe for another 20 seconds. Proceeded to breathe deep and not fall back asleep for the rest of the night (4+ more hours).

All in all, 0/10, would not recommend stressing the fuck out while building a PC. Also, I would not recommend being me in general.

Oh man. That sounds rough. I'm just planning to be careful, watch some tutorials, and take it easy.

A surprising pro of having half broken headphones is that you get the hear some of the absolutely glorious back vocals of some songs. Sometimes the back vocals aren't that great, but when they are, it's just heavenly.

mom got this orange juice that's freshly squeezed and not pasteurized and holy shit it's so good and sweet I usually hate oj since it's too sour/tart for me but oh dang son

downside is that it costs 4 fucking dollars and is a tiny booty bottle and there is an inherent risk with unpasteurized anything but on nom nom
