What makes you pop flyin'?

Got my 3DS back from Nintendo after a week or so. Now that I have functioning shoulder buttons, I can play Kid Icarus and Mario Kart again! And just in time for Pokemon tomorrow, too.

I had completely forgotten Nintendo can fix your hardware. I think my L button on my 3DS is going out.

But I was just gonna' hold out for a New 3DS anyway.

You may be waiting for a while, they're still milking regular 3DS and XL models in Europe and America for the holiday season.

My right one was going out, Monster Hunter that's why, and I blew in it really, really hard. Seems to have fixed it. I think dust gets stuck in there because a lot of people seem to have the same issue. Some people said they even bought a can of compressed air, though I think that seems a bit extreme.

I went to my favorite band's concert after all. The hall was super tiny so even though I was in the middle there was still less than 10 meters between the band and me and it was amazing.
I was right about Montreal being a shithole though.

I've got my first acceptance from one of the colleges I applied to. It might be the only one I'll ever get, but I'm still glad as hell that I got one at all! It's only a conditional admission for now, though.

Some friends invited me to see a movie tomorrow and to go to a Christmas party next month. I've not gotten invited to do anything in a long time, so this is great.

Grandma was in the hospital recently for some minor issues (I'm not pop flyin' about that, just keep reading). She's fine and back home now, but she knew she wasn't going to be up to the task of making Thanksgiving dinner for the family, so everyone was left to their own plans. Mom ended up making dinner for the immediate branch. Despite her constant assurances that the bird was burning, the potatoes were "gluey," and the stuffing was dry, everything turned out great.

Brock from Cockfighting Society's folks took me in this Thanksgiving since I wasn't up to making the drive home and back. They were super nice and gave me a ton of leftovers :3
