AWKWARD ZOMBIE

"Just leave him," Avena said, swallowing. "My flamethrower isn't powerful enough to do any long-lasting harm. Although I wish I knew why he attacked us..."

Dart looked over to Avena and before saying anything noticed her blue eye for the first time. Seeing her eye made him pause for a moment until he collected himself and said, "I don't know, but he must have had a reason, nothing we can do about it now I guess." Dart then walked over to the nearest tree and pulled off a leaf. He placed the leaf over the cut and applied pressure to stop the bleeding and finally said, "Anyone got an Oran Berry they can spare?

The quiet changed Dart's expression to a look of despair and he looked to the ground for a second and then looked up and finally said, "Well, that's what I get for coming unprepared. It'll clot up eventually." he remained silent for a second and then asked, "Hey Avena, what's up with your eye?"

Avena jumped and quickly turned so her eye was not visible. "It's...um...I've had it since birth." She seemed fascinated with the ground under her paws. "...anyway, we can probably look for berry bushes on the way back to the village."

"Way back to *grunt* village?" said Dart. "We're not done yet. We haven't found anything useful yet. Don't worry about me," he said with a smile, "I'll be fine." Dart took a few steps forward then stopped and said to Avena, "Oh and about your eye..." he paused for a moment, "It's beautiful." Then he paused for three more seconds to think of a follow-up, "It makes you...special. Who knows, it may come in handy one day."

Dart then took a few steps forward and then looked to Rido and said, "Oh, and Rido! That was very brave of you to offer to do. Keep that up and you'll be the strongest Sandshrew in the village."

Then Dart turned back to Avena and said, "Your turn to lead again."

Avena studied her paws, turning a bright shade of red. "Mmmsure we won't have any more problems out here..." she mumbled. She started off again with her teammates in tow, but it wasn't long before she had drifted to the back of the line again with Dart leading.

Rido, noticing that Avena again went to the back, wispered to her, "Are you afraid of something, are you afraid of him? Or is it something else? Oh well, so long as i don't get hurt because of what ever is going on, i don't really care" He then walked up to Dart and said, obviously woried about Dart's condition, said "Are you sure your going to be alright, you look wounded. Without you who is going to keep Avena safe, i sure won't, i always use defence curl to keep myself safe. You sure you don't want to go back and get some supplies?"

Seems like this was kind of deserted... man.

"Rido! we are poor! We would be better searching for supplies out here." The group goes searching through the Thick Plains and eventually come accross an Oran Berry bush. Dart, instead of eating them, juices a few and spreads it on the cut. It heals the cut slowly.
"Alright, it looks like we're not gonna find anything else here, you guys wanna go back?" Dart asked.

Cliff listened to the introductions and took mental note of the names. The skitty was Nami, she was the one who he needed to listen to. The Poochyena's name was a bit curious, the name "Smuts" would normally be greeted with hysterical laughter, but he could already sense a troubled aura about his rude actions. Last but not least we had the little Cyndaquil cowering behind his superior. Apparently, he went by Chaz. This was it, this was the team he'd chosen to make himself a part of. Who knows? All legends started out as rookies.

"Thick Plains? Excellent!" Cliff honestly was as clueless as the lot of them, he wasn't allowed to go on explorations without a team and was forced to deal with the small and simple rescue missions.

Just then, Chaz piped up from behind the Skitty, asking if it was time for them to go. However, Nami and Smuts were sill talking about what they needed to do before they left, so he decided not to talk over them. He didn't want to seem more rude than he already did.
