No I'm not asking for exceptions, I just think using large fonts with different colors is a pretty bad idea. I know you want people to notice, but what if I didn't see my post at all? Like, I haven't been on the forum for a day or two, or a lot has been posted between a couple hours, and I'm not exactly checking my own posts again, I just hit the little icon to get me to the newest post, so I'm skipping mine. Or maybe I don't check the thread at all. Which means telling me in this way that I shouldn't do it failed it's purpose.
That's true. I'll send PMs too, thanks!

I'm pretty sure everyone checks their PMs, and if I'd get a message telling me I violated the rules, I definitely took notice of it.
That's unfortunately not the case. Many people don't check their PMs, mostly because they have the pop-up notifications turned off and don't notice the "1 new message" at the top of the page. I have to semi-regularly remove oversized avatars because of people not checking their PMs after I send them one about it. It's also why I sometimes directly post in the Avatar thread when I see an avatar or signature that's too big.

Sure you can say it's rude to violate the rules, but it doesn't mean that it has to be pointed out in this way for everyone, like you're paying back the rudeness. But maybe it's just me who feels, uh... how can I say it, exposed?
I get what you mean but the intent with the edit is to get other members to remember that double-posting is against the rules, not to say "this guy here is a dumbass for double-posting". Nobody in the proletariats team thinks people are idiots for double-posting. We know people forget some rules sometimes and we're not going to kill them for it. Everybody can be forgetful. I do think that saying it's rude is exaggerated. It's just three blue words in your post, and you'd have to be insecure to think people are going to think badly of you for it.
