If today doesn't end in a lynch, the mafia gets a free kill, unless they hit one of the two people with guns. We have to decide on someone.

personally, I'm willing to believe Kamak is innocent for now (that may change later on, as things tend to in mafia) and his reasonings for Alec seem sound.
I never did get to go look back in the thread, I got caught up in other things. I'll do it tomorrow (real tomorrow, my time) and see what I come up with.

Kamak, would you mind explaining your reasoning behind lynching Alec again?

He's been one of the players I haven't thought much about, honestly, which is a good position for a mafia to be in, I suppose, but I haven't collected the evidence on him myself, I've been paying more attention to other folks, honestly.

Alec was the first person to mention that Cynic and Unge were inactive, which led to Runes and others picking up the lynch as the best option.

in addition, Runes and Cori later became suspicious of Alec's behavior, with Runes even voting for Alec near the beginning of the day. Given that Runes suggested the random lynch of Crisp and likely is innocent, we can generally trust that Runes isn't out to frame innocents (though his accusation of Alec is not a guaranteed mafia hit).

Later, when the lynch of D-vid was taking off, Alec was one of the last votes to lynch D-vid, and hasn't detracted the vote. He's also unsure whether I'm innocent despite the fact that I provided the motive for and participated in the D-vid bandwagon. Not quite sure why he would continue to lynch D-vid if he suspected me of scum, since it'd be highly unlikely that I'd try to lynch a fellow mafia then get cold feet near the end.

All in all, he makes me uneasy, and there really isn't anything that points to him potentially being town. Reyo, D-vid, and Cori at least have been active and "helpful". Alec so far hasn't done much but provide a little information that contributed to Slob's lynching and bandwagoned D-vid.

I really hope we don't hit town, and no matter who we lynch there's no guarantee of guilt, but hopefully we'll get information that will help us make these decisions easier in the future.

As was stated previously in the thread, it is a viable strategy to start a lynch against a mafia member in order to confirm one's innocence, or...

...Okay, maybe my suspicion of you is silly. Still, it is a possibility.

And as for why my vote is still D-Vid, they, with the exclusion of myself, are currently one of the most suspicious individuals in the thread. Or, at the very least, were.

I looked through the thread, and Guy was the only one who even seemed suspicious to my tired brain, but the later the game went on the less I got suspicious. he was really intent on mentioning he doesn't have power early on, and jumped onto votes early, but other than that nothing.
I'll have to go with the Lynch Alec vote.

Looking back, I'm thinking Alec to. He voted for d-vid, made indirect accusations towards the beginning of the day, and while he didn't actually vote to lynch slob, he still brought him up for lynch. And even after slob turned out to be innocent, he kept going with the suggestion to lynch people who were inactive.

Alec seemed very unapologetic about lynching based solely on the activity of people in the thread. He has also offered very little rebuttal to his recent accusations. This tells me that he likely had some hand in planning the bandwagon participation of the Mafia in lynching Cynic, and in light of scrutiny, has no alibi that can back him up.

It is under these circumstances that I feel confident enough to Lynch Alec.

Well, me saying I'm Village on day1 was because we were doing funny stuff and I had nothing better to do. Every mention of it past day1 has been because we have no investigators and all hope is lost may as well just state my role and keel over/jump bandwagons on a wing and a prayer. Or comedy.
