CHRONICLES OF THE KING'S BLADES/TALES OF THE KING'S BLADES by Dave Duncan.

The best goddamn series ever. And no one but me has ever read them, apparantly. The characters are fantasic, as is the concept of magic and politics and a billion other things contained therein, and on the whole internet I've never met another fan. ;-; Also, Raider and Wasp are the best guys ever. D:

Currently working through the 'Warcraft: War of the Ancients' books, and enjoying them immensely.

I just heard "Warcraft" and "war" in the same title of a book.
Hm.

I bought the Aacive of those ones. It's hooge. Despite it only having three books in there, as opposed to four in the other two archives.

I'm gonna be reading that after I'm done with all my Starcraft material. Finished Liberty's Crusade, now onto Shadow of the Xel'Naga.

Yeah, I made the mistake of reading it, too. I know that modern fantasy, in and of itself, owes a lot to Tolkien, but Brooks kind of shamelessly took the actual structure of the Lord of the Rings and placed it with a bunch of less likeable and forgettable characters. Supposedly the other books are better, but I don't give a fuck about reading any of them.

Haven't done a good reading in a while. Stupid uncultured me.

I think I may start on some good Carl Sagan since the house I live in has almost everything written by him.
