Go as a giant bowl. Your costume can then hold candy.

This is probably going to be the first year I don't go trick or treating. I'm steadily growing a beard for my pirate costume, and my brother and a couple of his friends are dressing as Slenderman to go scare the shit out of people. I have no social life so there's really nothing I can do for halloween except pass out candy if we decide to this year.

What kind of a church has service on a Wednesday night? Or for that matter, thinks Halloween is evil?

it's super common to have midweek services in my area. it's annoying as fuck. i don't mind going to church on sundays and stuff but i cannot WAIT til i move out and won't be forced to go every time something is going on.

also it's not necessarily the religion itself that thinks halloween is evil, but the church is like 90% old people and you know how old religious people are

I find it funny that people think Halloween is inviting the devil when it's actually the exact opposite
Really, it should be the most celebrated Christian holiday after Christmas.

I'm not sure what to be for Halloween. I'm afraid I might be too old to go trick or treating, but I'm sure I can pass for younger. I guess it all depends on if my friends want to go trick or treating too. I wonder if we can try going to the rich neighborhoods since some of us can drive. I've heard they give king sized candy bars. One year an old lady was giving out ipods, but my brother's rich friends said they didn't go to get any because it was a street away from where they were. :shakefist: Those darn rich kids. Why didn't you run?!

when I used to go to a youth club in church they would hold a "festival of light" at halloween and basically it was the same except for no dressing up, people played games like bob apple and stuff just without the "spooky" aspect? i didn't quite understand why they did it, a man tried to hand me a leaflet about why it was evil and it was something to do with it's wrong that kids dress up as the devil or something like that

For those dressing up for Halloween if you are in the Michigan/Detroit area, Youmacon is the weekend of Nov 2nd-4th. Can show off your costume there if you want. Its at the Ren Center and Detroit is relatively safe if you are smart about it. I drive down there at least 2-3 times a week and have been for the last 2 years nearly and have had no problems yet.

Wow all of my friends are trying to go out every night from Friday the 26th through Halloween. That might be a bit too intense for me, plus I don't have 4/5 costumes....

My plan is the same as every other year. Stay at home by myself then buy all the leftover candy the next morning when it's discounted.

I live a wonderful life.
