When I have kids, I'm going to force them to watch Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star. Then they have a chance as being as cool as this guy.

Cowboy Bebop for sure, but Outlaw Star, not so much.

As far as cheesy anime goes, Outlaw Star is my favorite, and my kids need to learn to be tuff. AKIRA was a hueg liek xbox letdown.

Cowboy Bebop is the best anime ever. Period.

Period.

My kids will have all of Miyazaki's movies memorized by the age of 12.

I love that movie.

I recently finished the epic comic it's based on. It was even more awesome.

Also, Fist of the North Star.

Agreed. Wholeheartedly. And Fist of the North Star is much cheesier than Outlaw Star.

Fist of the North Star may be cheesier than Outlaw Star (I've never seen it), but the whole reason I'm showing my kids Outlaw Star is because it has some pretty wicked lessons to teach. Freedom. Exploration. Adventure. Love and Loyalty. Plus a bunch of others that are kinda saccharine twists on objectivism. And it teaches all these lessons in a kick booty space combat-y way.

Making heads explode by yelling > Freedom.

I do not want my kids yelling at me trying to make my head explode. The situation will end in disappointment for all parties.

Followed by Haruhi Suzumiya. When I have children, they will memorize the choreography of the ending.

If you want your kids to grow up to be pedophiles, then sure.

Haruhi is fucking epic.

But I still hold to the belief that Clannad is the best anime ever.

EVER.

EVER.
