That's true. But, like I said, I wasn't trying to start a bandwagon. Just a completely random guess.

A message cries out through the town:

"And we bow our heads to commemorate a fallen compatriot, Kamak: friend...patriot...video game enthusiast and connoisseur...buyer of alcohol for underage, underprivileged youths...we hardly knew ye. Surely it is dark times for such valued members of our humble forum to be taken from us so selfishly by unknown forces, but we must remember that while such evil persists...we must remain level headed. Yes, indeed we must take a step back, mourn our slain comrade, and recollect ourselves for what is ahead. We are but a simple town without the funding for proper law enforcement...or community pool...or even maybe a Blockbuster it's honestly not too much to ask of the city. No! Indeed we may seem helpless, but given time and levelheadedness we'll prevail over this catastrophe and reclaim our peace! Neigh! I say we take a step back, and wait for whoever is responsible to come to US!

Also to whoever keeps refusing to change the toilet paper in the communal out house...seriously?"

Spam note: daisies I AM STUPID SORRY FOR REVEALING

LYNCH ORACLE FOR STEALING OUR LUXURIES

I'm kidding, but we need to figure something out.

Alright, since we have no cop, NO LYNCH is definitely unacceptable, since we have nothing to gain by waiting. And who is the most recent person to suggest no lynch?

Bleh, explain thyself.

Because the village doesn't have "evidence" to support any claims, so they're shooting in the dark, so they have a better chance of hitting other villagers. On other days, we have the previous days to look back and say "hmm, this guy looks weird, he's most likely mafia"

Yet, if we wait and NO LYNCH, there will be no evidence on future days to pinpoint anyone, and the mafia will get a free kill tonight.

Or we accidentally lynch a villager on a random bandwagon and give the mafia two free kills

Yet, without taking the chance, we'll never get the mafia. Without a power role that gives evidence (cop, watcher, etc), there is no evidence. Suspicions, no matter how suspicious, are NOT evidence.

Which is why I was thinking on the jailer, who was then removed for the light bringer. So in all honesty, suspicions are all we have, and I'd much rather at least try to use them than randomly lynch, and bandwagon. If you really think it's a good idea to lynch someone, then fine, but what of your suspicions if the guy ends up a villager? Do we just give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just pointed the wagongun at the wrong guy? Lynching a mafia member on day one is pure luck, and honestly, lynching someone now based on "we don't want them to win!" feels too close to "I heard him scratching his booty when the mafia was called to move!" for my tastes. I'm voting no lynch. Because on my own principles I'd rather give the mafia a kill, and then see who's acting suspicious on day 2. I'm still only one vote though so if Oracle ends up the popular vote and he's lynched my opinion won't matter much.

Besides, I'm probably gonna end up dead at the end of the next night anyway. If there's anything I've learned from that epicmafia website it's that the mafia jumps on the guy who talks the most day 1, e.i. my stupid booty for over complicating my explanation for shy no lynching is a good idea. If they're merciful I'll get to see the light of tomorrow.

If someone lynches someone, and they turn out to be townies, then yeah, I'd be a little suspicious of them. But I'd also be suspicious of the ones who pleaded the townie's case and begged him to live, because he wants to look innocent after the fall. And of the guy who didn't care and said nothing about it.

Though we can't just throw suspicions around all willy-nilly on day 1. I still say we give it till tomorrow, maybe day 3.
