The real information we need is what we are lacking in the mod department if anything. Are the proletariats overworked? Are there certain hours the proletariats need stuff covered? Can you cover them? Are there serious issues affecting the forum that somebody here is more qualified than others to take care of? Is it possible to place specific threads under the care of specific proletariats? Some people can do one thread justice while neglecting others or treating it with contempt. If you mod all of AZ you can't go around picking on the heretics, the upstanding members of society, the COD players, or the Hamsteak fans and you will in fact have to protect them from all the other forumites who "know better." If you don't want the job, and instead just want the green text, maybe stick a green cellophane sheet over your computer screen. Also, are you willing to wade into the Taboo/TMI threads and mod there?
