Angus, once again you show us the reason why the Internet will forget about it quickly: Half of them do not have memory retnetion beyond that of a goldfish.

Did you know half of the Internet broswers ont he web have less memory retention than a goldfish?

I never used MegaUpload, so Im not much affected by its loss :/ I also hear that following the shutdown, Anonymous actually made an attack on the government :/ I wonder if that's true. :psyduck:

If by "attack" you mean "tore down some posters" then yes. That's all a website is.

The attack on those websites is really just a knee-jerk reaction to all the SOPA tension hanging in the air right now.

Anonymous has been working overtime after they saw what happened to MegaUpload. They've been bombing a ton of media and government websites. I hope they realize that the feds were technically justified in taking MU down after seeing that it actually has been breaking the law.

Pretty much, yeah. But it's symbolic anyway. They're not trying to wipe out the CIA they want to be an inconvenience that is observable for everyone.
Like graffitiing a monument of some asshole.

DDoSing a site is the equivalent of releasing a bunch of pigeons specially trained to shit on statues.
It's annoying, yeah, but not hard at all to clean.

True. I just find Anon's huge coordinated attacks over this a bit unreal.

The decision to disable file sharing on Filesonic comes from Filesonic alone. They were scared of being sued like MegaUpload.

I'm still waiting for imgur to remove its image hosting abilities, in fear that Disney will sue them for hosting gifs of hipster Ariel.
