Hey...I'm not a douche like SL'98 is, apparently. I don't revive old threads, because it's a mute point. SL'98 didn't get that, so it seems.
Er, just so you know, it's 'moot' point, not 'mute'.
Anyway, let me give you the rundown. We've had a lot of horrible new users lately, so forgive us if our patience is worn a bit thin. SL'98 posted the most inane and mind-numbingly awful messages, and when you see that every single day, through one user or another, it becomes agonizing to read. Most people don't seem to realize that there's a very fine line between stupid humor, and just plain old stupid. Now, granted, everybody has their moments where they're not funny. The thing that most new people that we see on the forum don't realize is that there are times for acting stupid and there are times for serious, intelligent conversation. It's good to find a healthy balance of both. I can't exactly put into words how to find that balance, but just trust your gut. I'm sure that you know somebody that doesn't know when to stop being immature, so you can probably imagine how frustrating it can be. If you treat the forum like a group of people that you're talking with face-to-face (with all normal social constraints intact), then you'll probably do fine.
EDIT: Also, I would advise editing down the size of your signature. It's rather on the large side.
