So I guess pointing out that the Mayan Calendar didn't account for Leap Year, and that the world would've "ended" months ago would be killing the fun?

But who cares about what I said in spoilers? I am actually afraid that people are going to be stupid in my friend's school. He said some people were talking about doing a shooting or something (maybe correlate it with the 21st), so I'm pretty scared for him.

The Mayan Calandar =/= the Gregorian Calendar. The 21st is the correct date for the end of the calendar, assuming people matched the right date on the Mayan calendar to the Gregorian Calendar.

Besides which, the Mayan Calendar is accurate due to using Lunar, Solar, and Earth "wobble" factors in telling time. Even if they didn't have a concept for Leap Days, it ultimately doesn't matter.
