I love potatoes, all kinds-- yukon gold are delicious and kind of cute somehow, but thanksgiving fare for my family is mashed. I like smooth or rough mashed, either way, fresh french fries, american chips, whatever. Tomatoes are my favorite if we're talking "all things people decide to call vegetables for some reason," but I like more varieties of potato dish than tomato dish if that makes sense.

I was surprised last year when talking to a british friend and we got to talking about chips and how it's apparently pretty popular over there to make plain chip sandwiches, like with their thick steak fry like wedges and stuff. Americans totally don't do that at all, though I do like to sometimes take dinner rolls and put a dollop of creamy mashed potato on there to eat. It's good.

We have a burger/Sandwich place called Best Bite and it has the best sweet potato fries ever.

Unfortunately, they are closing soon. I will always remember those sweet tapatoes.
