My basement/office is finally finished in time for Wrybread to visit.

The curtain is to block the furnace which is stupidly loud, with my workbench in front of it.

My battlestation and my wall of cool stuff.

Couch-side poster wall, Mega64 v. 1, 2 and 3 represent. Ignore the calendar that is one year out of date, I just really like it. Plus you can see the periodic elements poster and the paper map that came with skyrim on the back of the door. The wiring dangling above the posters is an LED tube light I can turn on to make it lowlight and cozy but its too hard to get a picture in that lighting.

My battlestation. The rats nest of CAT5 cables on the wall I just clipped out. The person we bought the house from also had an office down here with a bafflingly weird wire setup. On the wall I have the cockpit of the Enterprise Space Shuttle, a print of Samus Aran that Tall-Hatted Yanimae drew for me, and a print of the greek goddess Eris.

My display shelf, including my gathering dust Black Templar 40k army. The cupcakes were a gift from Yeili from a few years back for my birthday and the plastic tube thing is a projectile used by German warships to launch lines to other ships when refueling or towing (my Dad is a Merchant Marine so he brings me cool stuff). Speaking of, the little jar between the cupcakes is a bottle of volcanic ash from Mt. Etna when it erupted back in 2007. The two spoons are decorative things, the gold one is designed after the Knights of Malta and has a map of the island of Malta on it. The other is a tornado festooned spoon from Kansas that Wrybread gave me the firs time she visited. The rest are assorted figures, model bits, and my terrible filing system for all my important paperwork I never look at.
Note, I don't live down here (sort of), its just my office. My bedroom is upstairs but the only thing in there is my dresser and my bed. This is the first time I have lived somewhere in a room that isnt tiny.
