Had to stick around the library after hours and it was quite the experience. I'm really not used to seeing the library this still, there's always someone somewhere, shuffling papers around, shelving books, makin's small talk, this was utter silence within the library besides the gurgling aquarium. It was quite eerie until people started showing up, but as a whole, the night was rather fun.

I clean up enough book forts during my normal shifts, I was too tired after my first shift to really do anything but flop onto the checkout desk for four hours. I really wanted to explore more, maybe check out the dungeon downstairs or a view from the balcony, but I was genuinely spooked by all the weird noises and general Steven King atmosphere.

dude, I'd have been like a kid in a candy store. Before diabetes was everywhere like it is now, I mean.

I would have ran all over the place, pretending I was in a horror film, jumping at my own shadow and screaming like a little girl. Because that place would be haunted, with a couple serial killer cultists lurking somewhere around the westerns and trashy romances (where else?).
