So I guess this is somewhere I should post at. I don't feel as though I identify as female? As in, I feel like a dude at almost 100% of the time, but if life had a respec token I could use, I'd absolutely become a girl."

Just do whatever you want. I wear a wig(s) because I don't want to grow my hair out yet, but want to feel comfortable in private.

Not really. Not yet.

Great Handsome Oppressor asked to change the thread title since apparently GSRM has some unsavory history as to the origins of the acronym.

I don't see anything derogatory about that

He PM'd me and mentioned it had something to do with being coined by a pedophile to include pedophilia and zoophilia?

I dunno, he'd be better to ask about it than me.

I'm all for simpler acronyms to be honest, I feel like tacking more and more stuff onto it kinda cheapens it a bit and makes it harder for people to take seriously.

That...doesn't really work given as those things are none of those.

You'll have to ask Great Handsome Oppressor for more details. I was just asked to change the title.

honestly i mostly use the word queer instead of LGBTQAHGMXYZPTLK because there's just too much shit. there's way too many different ways for people to be that are all legitimate and should be taken seriously, and trying to scramble and fit them all into an acronym is just a bad idea.

some people consider it a slur still though? i guess i can kinda understand that but i haven't heard it used as a derogatory term in my entire life. it used to be, yeah, but it's really not anymore. it also might not necessarily include transgender people because that's more of a gender thing than a pure sexuality thing, but i can't come up with a better one.

I've heard it used as a derogatory term, but the way i always hear it is 'the queer.' saying someone is queer never seemed to be used derogatorily but 'the queer' always has. like 'yeah sara's queer' vs 'yeah sara's a queer.'

it really does make it easier though - there are a lot of terms now (which is good!) but trying to cram it all into an acronym is impossible. lgbtq+ seems to work well though but imo you might as well just say queer if you're gonna have it in the acronym because it kinda encompasses everything under the 'not straight and cis' umbrella

I was thinking about it yesterday and while I consider myself to be lesbian, I guess I don't immediately reject the idea of experimenting with boys?

Yeah, I'd seen a thing on tv about transsexual/transgender people (is there a diffence?), and there was one part about an ftm who was a lesbian before transition, but afterwards was attracted to men, so you're okay there.

iirc Transsexual is mostly a term used for a person who is post operation and now has the genetalia that goes witht he gender they identify with

and transgendered is more like Marcato who identifies as a beautiful lady but still had the sex parts she was born with. (im sorry im using you as an example Kate ilu ;A; )

I could be wrong though/
