I have no scanner at this time and my tablet camera blurs images really badly. It is a lot simpler than trying to touch it up for five hours. My brother doesn't really want anyone messing with his phone, so I can't readily use of to snap an HD image whenever I want, like I managed after a bit of convincing for the card a while ago.

I'd have applied ink to define the lines and such, as above in the pictures where I was celebrating hair drawing, but I have little confidence in getting the line art right the first time and dont wsnt to conpletely destroy it like I've done to several things I attempted to ink, lately.
Apparently all my friends seem to think it looks "super neat", so I'm just going with it for now.

However, it definitely makes coloring stuff look more nicely shaded if/when I get around to shading, as I have found. It is easier to touch something up if the camera butchers part of the image (it blurs out more at the edges) when I only need to correct two or three different colors. I was also never particularly fond of the look something gets when shadows are gradual and realism isn't the exact intent.

I was going to even out the shading on the cat hoodie, but Markatie said it was fine as-is so I'm not going to argue since the person I drew it for said it was fine (I'd have been working on it for another three days, otherwise).

Hi, I'm Airra. I have difficulty keeping a message short and simple.

TL;DR: Low-def camera makes graphite ugly.

Also, hi [CN], posting things just before I hit send on my overly wordy things and making me panic in my half-sleep state.

Edit: The thing [Collective Negligence] said just kicked in and it suddenly occurred to me that everyone looking at everything I draw with that bandaid solution will be seeing the images at waaaaay larger of a scale than my 3½"x8" screen will ever show for me, so that must be really jarring. There is no convenient method to downscale images on my Android without waiting five minutes for my downloaded art app to load up, and even then I have to do a lot of Import work and manually squishing the image since it does not allow me to rescale the canvas and image, and the cropping tool seems to go in 40 pixel increments. HMMMMMM.

It was a Skype conversation request from Airra to shrink them down to a better size. The pictures look better when shrunk, so I shrank them. Not intended for avatar use here, I don't think? IDK.

The art style kind of reminds me of Rocket Power?

That kind'a reminds me of the Rugrats cartoon for some reason.

Also, I missed out on forum drama created from a mild Skype miscommunication that I decided to ignore.

Waiting for the next episode.

I don't know, I'm a narrator not a fortune teller.

Here are 2 references of the character design by the original artist: 1 2
Though I basically picked an already cartoon-y face, I think it makes sense that the "cartoon" theme I had in mind when drawing, would go back to cartoons of my childhood.
