well I've also been looking around for pretty cheap tablets (I've got finals and shit coming up so the looking hasn't been that hard) all I've really looked at was the wacom site and I'm not really willing to spend on anything over $100

Hm I think you'd be able to get a wacom bamboo 8x6 for around that much? It's been a while since I looked at tablets myself.

my tablet is about the size of a medium intuos and it cost $70 apparently (i didn't buy it.) it's a huion, and it works pretty daisies well for me, i really like it a lot. it is apparently a bit fidgety though for some people (the person who gave it to me did so because it wouldn't work on his computer but it's working like a dream on mine.)

Anyone know any good comic fonts? I've been looking a bunch up, but they all don't fit my purpose or just look too stiff and/or too awkward. Need some for plain talking text, I plan on making anything otherwise by hand. I don't think my regular hand writing seems fit for a plain text.

Use this http://www.myscriptfont.com/ It's free and it means you will have completely original font customised to what you need.

I know you said you don't like your own hand writing, but you'll need to know how to letter for your sound effects/titles/etc so may as well get some practice in.

At work, a few lines popped into my head for a Florida version of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

‘Twas the day after Christmas, when all through the trailer
You could hear my dad shout, curse, and swear like a sailor
The stockings were burnt, hung from the stove hood
As ideas go, that one was simply no good
The children were reveling with new toys in the lane
An R/C against chainlink told all they were playing
And Mom in her jammies on a chair in the lawn
Had just settled in for a ten-hour yawn

It's a work in progress, maybe I'll have the whole thing finished before Christmas.

I was thinking maybe using that thing until I failed horribly. Maybe I'll print it out and get a friend to scan it to save myself some heartache.

More like no scanner at all. Which is pretty frustrating when I draw something extremely neat on paper.

I know of no school library or public one that doesn't have a scanner.

I've never seen any at school (I'm not very observant) and the public library is extremely far away. I'll probably take a look at school to see if there's one that functions well enough.

Chatting with some friends about what our characters would do during Christmas and this happened.

Some messy sketches of tigers.

You don't wanna know how my tigers looked when I first tried drawing them. They're better, but they still need work.

Update: I didn't think I'd figure out how to tiger so quickly.

I have to fix that crooked nose though. I might have to thin the face and elongate the muzzle too. Maybe make some of the stripes a little more congruous. Either way, I'm pretty pop flyin' with this colossal jump. Maybe it's just because outlining is where I polish everything up, the sketch is terrible. If there's anything else, I'd be pop flyin' for some input.

Also, some tiger patterns are extremely metal, like how does that not look like something some crazy rockstar would put on their face.

Here's a sketch of a six-winged serpenty dragon I never got around to finishing. Part of it is my signature because why not.

This is the first time I've tried to actually draw shoulder and back muscles accurately but if there's anything glaringly wrong with them I'd be pop flyin' for some advice.

That's cool. Are you planning to colorize it in the future?
