Ignore the JPEG compression, that's because of the scanner. All the digital work is gonna be perfect PNG.
Obviously a wip.

Try making it look more dynamic by giving priority to one of the characters - this could mean bringing one of them into the foreground as princess brothel eluded toward.

As it is, everything is the same size/in the same depth of field/perspective and that's something to avoid in terms of building interest.

So basically think about the drawing in terms of background, middleground and foreground - and consider placing something in each to create depth and interest (if nothing else).

The linework is very good though.

I knew he was lost to me when he started using words like "ecci" and "shonen"

This look any better? (rough move, obviously; just getting the position down before I connect everything.)
I can't make the dude too big or else he'd be covered by the title, and the author wants unimportant space at the bottom for his name.
I also took princess brothel's advice on the dragon. I also made it the correct size.

I like the revision a lot better in terms of composition, and this isn't really a problem, so much as it is just a design suggestion. People tend to look at people's/animal's eyes and where they are looking in an image. Both the guy and the dragon are looking right, towards the girl and the girl is looking right, off the page/cover. I'd suggest having her either look at the guy, or up where the title will be, if you still want her looking off into the distance, to keep the persons attention on the book.

Much better.

However the harmonica/harpsicord/piano thing looks too small/out of place.

I would worry less about showing the harpsicord thing in its entirety like that - if it were me I would bring that right into the foreground so it's almost in the viewer's face, but also so that all you could see were a few keys:

Something like this maybe? Though I appreciate this level of depth/use of foreground might be too extreme for your tastes (you could always knock it back a bit more toward the middleground if you wanted).

Of course you might want to angle the harpsicord thing differently depending how important it is you see the whole length of his sword.

Also I don't know how important each component is to the story - I just think seeing the harpsicord keys so close up like that would be more interesting.

I really like your work on her expression. So many people have the blandest expressions or do the same every time.

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I looked at my old drawings and they gave me cancer. The good news? I got Spiderman's autograph at the hospital! That's not the real good news though. I decided to improve on the old comic.
Too bad Link lost one of the best items in the game. At least he has a magical tunic that never needs to be ironed.
And Skyview Temple is a big tan structure with surprisingly clean walls, apparently.
EDIT: Yes, i KNOW i forgot those little lines on the cuff thingies on link's arms. But Adobe Flash isnt working for me right now, so until I get it fixed, enjoy the awesome break in continuity.
