Aaaaand two months later I'm still at the same weight. I managed to peak at 78 kg over the holidays but despite eating dinner twice a day I lost the weight again. Probably need to try to eat more at breakfast. At least muscle definition is coming through, and I feel in great shape.

Also, I stopped drinking soda all together two weeks ago. Really starting to realize how addicted I was to that stuff. The cravings are pretty intense. With all the drinking I used to do you'd think I'd be addicted to alcohol too, but I never even craved alcohol when I cut down on drinking.

So far I've noticed my appetite going up and also plain things tasting better.

I've slowly been replacing soda with water, myself.

I was thinking about making a post about realistic expectations here before, but luckily scooby has done the work for me.

10/10 would boop your arm

Also hello yes hi I have absolutely no idea how to start doing this thing called "fit and healthy" and "not dying at age 50."

I'm also in the position of not knowing what questions to ask. Any general advice about becoming less flab and more fab?

Thanks for the compliments.

The /fit/ sticky is actually a pretty good starting point.

Key points:
- for losing weight, diet is infinitely more important than exercise.
- what exercise plan you do doesn't actually matter that much for a beginner, as long as you stick with it

Also, you are trans right? /fit/ occasionally has threads with routines for transitioning people, if that's something you'd be interested in.

As lifting routine I am very partial to this one:

Takes a bit of maths though to figure out the weights you should use.

I'm trying to cut down on my junk food snacks because I noticed some of my jeans getting tighter.

But eating fruit instead of junk food is difficult so far

I ate an apple yesterday and it left me more hungry than before I had it. And it was mealy as hell too.

Just stick with it, it'll get easier over time as your body adjusts. You can do it.

Apples do that to me too, dunno why. Try different fruits.

Tangerines and grapefruit are awesome and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise.

Managed to start gaining weight again by eating something every 2 hours. Think I'm 77kg now, it's kind of hard to tell since I seem to vary a lot of water weight (which makes sense I guess since I drink a ton of water lol), highest I've measured was 78.4.

Changed my training program to higher intensity, lower reps, seem to be making strength gains again and it feels great.

Also shoutout to the best channel on youtube since he's consistently making videos again:
