anyway irl story time

I've been taking piano lessons for eight years. Of those seven, my teacher had a small Maltese dog named Carly.

She was ridiculously friendly, and intimidating to the bigger dogs in the neighborhood, able to hold her own in a growling match or whatever. I loved that little dog. I was always afraid of dogs, and she was the first one I ever really loved with all my heart.

I'd see her (almost) every week, and it was a good pleasure to see her, her affection never getting tiring.

As the years passed and we both got older, she lost her energy, her youthfulness, and took to sleeping all the time. It was obvious she was going to die soon.

One week I came and her bed was empty.

My mom and I asked my teacher, and she was apparently sick. My teacher had her put down for obvious reasons.

A week later I saw a drawing one of the student's mother did.

It had a little boy sitting at the piano, music notes coming out, and a little Maltese dog in the corner.

I think I posted that video a long long time ago.

But yeah.

SAD.
