I'm trying my hand at drawing gijinkas right now, but I don't know if anything will come out of it. I have been very disappointed - the only one that's turned out nice so far was Bulbasaur - Venusaur and that was because I was trying to imitate the way you go about morphing them into a human(oid?).

Just out of curiosity, are you making them look like anthros?

Oh no, I am/was trying to make them look very human. Unfortunately my first attempts (bidoof and bibarel) didn't work out because I am/was trying to include every detail of the pokemon's design, like bibarel's red nose, which makes no sense at all unless the person is a clown, drunk, or sunburnt.

Yeah.. Most Pokemon designs are so wacky I can't include every detail, like Garchomp.




And some are don't have enough detail so I have to make up clothing designs on my own.
