Agreed. I'm getting on the pill soon to avoid just those sort of annoyances. Plus it makes your flow lighter, predictable to almost the time of day, and makes your skin clearer.

Although I've also heard it makes your tiddies grow, and that is the LAST thing that I want, so not too stoked about that.

I'd like to get on the Pill since it apparently has all those nice effects, but it's pretty expensive. :<

Studies have show that chemicals in birth control pills alter the fundamentals of what is attractive to you or something like that

Or so I've been told
Quote:
A classic set of experiments reveals the degree to which MHC-driven scents silently engineer mate preferences. Claus Wedekind of the University of Bern in Switzerland asked women to sniff and select cotton clothes that were worn by various men. The women not only favored the shirts of men whose MHC profiles differed from theirs but also said these aromas reminded them of current or ex-lovers—proof that MHC profiles influenced their romantic choices in the past. T-shirts worn by men who had similar immune systems to the women conjured up fathers or brothers instead.

Women taking oral contraceptives, however, were dangerously misled in partner preference: They found the dad-and-brother-like smells most attractive. The pill tricks a woman's body into acting as if she's pregnant. One theory holds that the olfactory system knows it is advantageous for a woman to be around kin when she is in such a vulnerable state.

Eh, it doesn't necessarily alter your breast size; most people I know who are on it have a water-weight/bloating side-effect.

I do not know if I want to go on the pill. Lately I have just been hearing about increased birth defect rates for everything, being tied to the pill or vaccination shots (side-effects finally showing through) and even if I disregard these, I can't help but think that messing with the menstrual cycle might mess with chances at getting pregnant if I ever want to get pregnant, or mess with the pregnancy/growth of the child.

I am probably just being silly. I'm not a huge fan of condoms (no lectures) and have mostly relied on Plan B, which should never be your first choice because of its unreliability. I need to just go to a doctor and educate myself a bit more on available birth control methods and both sides to their effects.

@Kale: That's really cool. I remember my bio teacher telling my class about the MHC scents several years back in high school. The alteration that birth control creates nearly re-enforces my beliefs about the pill messing up your system though, aha.

My tiddies got 2 cup sizes bigger when I got on a normal-hormone pill from a low-hormone pill...the low one put me up to a C - then I went off of it because it made me sick, and I went down to a B again. Got back on another brand because my periods went whacky again and now I'm at a D :[ :[ :[

Plan B is really rough on your body and can actually make you infertile if you use it too much/often. There are plenty of non-hormonal birth controls like paragard, if you can afford them/your insurance will cover it, but honestly the regular pill isn't really that big of a deal for most women. I don't find it affects my sex drive, hasn't had me gain weight, make me sick (this brand anyway,) or anything like that. I do have slightly worse PMS and my tits got huge but that's a small price to pay for no babies and regular periods, I think. I've not known of any woman whose had issue with going off bc after being on it for a while, getting pregnant, and having healthy children. It seems a lot safer if you're not going to use condoms than Plan B at least.

Idk about the thing with bc altering who you find attractive...I don't think it worked for me haha. Tuxedo Mask is quite the polar opposite of my father in every way possible. And imo as long as you find someone you love and are sexually compatable with and is a good person, it shouldn't really matter if they "smell" like your dad/brother/whatever or not.

The scent however is how they get close enough for you to see those things. It's unconscious, but it's there. It's part of the reason you like some people straight away and dislike others.

Yeah Plan B isn't something I want to take. Thankfully I didn't have any of the painful side-effects aside from some minor stomach cramping the second time, but I know that it's basically poisoning your system. Thanks for sharing your experience with the pill though, I just need to go to the doctor and have a thorough talk about birth control to banish my misconceptions. Did you have to go through different pills to find one that worked best for you?

More petty reasons over logic. First time was pretty painful; the lack of condom made things more comfortable, and the rubbery smell was a bit jarring. We fluxuated between using them and not, but the majority of the time we didn't. I acknowledge it's not smart, and that I'm probably lucky things ended up fine and dandy.

Ahh I gotcha

See I never noticed an offensive smell personally, nor has my lady every really noticed a difference between condom and no condom, but obviously different experiences for different people.

It might've been a matter of brand/type. One of the packs he got was that fire/ice stuff and that had the most offending smell to it, the other said it was ~lubricated~, which I thought all condoms were but I could be wrong. I don't exactly spend time studying condom brands, haha. (They were kinda greasy with the lubrication/product too, idk, off-putting.)

the only time me or EVA-01 have noticed a smell from a condom is if i start jacking off after sex or she trys oral on me right after, in which the dick smells and tastes like latex (not advisable to do either if you hate the smell/taste)

we use trojan ribbed/lubed and it works pretty well for us

I found that if you have a lot of sex in one day, you start noticing the difference the condom makes pretty quickly. Other than that it's never been a problem.
