Well they say it's safe, All it does is "burn" off a layer of colour, the blue is already underneath. I have really dark brown eyes, so I think it'd be awesome just to change it. Even if it can't go back. I already wear contacts, I've been thinking about getting coloured ones just to see how I would look.

Regardless of the risk and cheddar, I don't think anyone should be doing surgery for purely cosmetic reasons when they don't need it. It smacks of vanity and wastefulness.

Also I think that if someone wants to let a laser near their eyes just to change the color they lack all sense of self-preservation.

I will not undergo any form of eye surgery, especially laser eye surgery, until it is surgery to give me laser eyes

The experiments just came to mind, that's all, I actually find this whole thing quite interesting.
I just don't like the concept of performing surgery on MY EYES, be it by removing a layer of my iris with lasers, or injecting chemicals in an attempt to to dye it. Neither sound worth it to me.

Anything with my eyes =/= worth it.

I'm already nervous about mouth surgeries, eye stuff is right out.

Good thing my eyes are already blue.

I'm guessing it's a similar procedure to corrective laser eye-surgery actually.

Which is pretty impossible to walk away from damaged. At least I haven't heard of anyone being seriously maimed by a fixed frequency laser.

Seriously maimed? An error of a millimetre and you could damage your eye. Yes, it's relatively safe, but there's still risk involved.

I don't think you get the difference between something that's completely safe and something that's slightly risky. Eating your cereal in the morning is safe, getting surgery isn't. Surgery is something that should only be done when absolutely necessary and given sufficient thoughts. Although this type of surgery is probably less risky than full anaesthetic, I'm kind of going off a tangent here.

You could choke to death on your cereal.

Not if your gag reflex still works and you've learned how to properly eat.

There's still POSSIBILITY man. You can't ignore the .0001% chance.

That is my point, eating cereal has a >0.0000001% (calculated so that you and 4 other people you know don't die of choking on their cereal, assuming you have cereal everyday) chance of death, while most types of surgeries have at least a 1% chance of having complications.

Why you shouldn't have surgery for every teenie bit you want to change is the same reason you shouldn't go skydiving if you don't enjoy it. The risk/reward ratio is off.

I know, I'm trying to agree with you, I'm just doing it as stupidly as possible.

It's okay bro, I still love you.

And I think I'm doing pretty bad at getting my point across as well.
