Okay, so mom gave me $500 to start me off on my bank. And yet I have never ever been able to save up more than about $650 since I've had it. It's the worst thing ever. So many things I pay for myself: cat food, vet visits, sometimes gas, college applications, that one time with the PAX tickets... I hate not having a lot of cheddar, and then also spending it. Sigh.

There's this dude I know who puts women (specifically single women) up on a pedestal, like some unattainable fantasy creature, and is all like 'I don't know how to talk to ladies, they make me nervous'.

I get the very distinct sense that even though he says he wants to remain a bachelor and has no intention of getting a girl friend, that he has a massive chip on his shoulder and actually wants a partner. It gets frustrating because as much as he plays the part of a gentleman he has no idea how chauvinistic he's being. And it's hard to get much out of him without practically bullying him into facing his issues.

One side of my jaw has been pretty stiff for at least half a year, like it's a bit hard to open unless I unlock the joints. Now, it's actually kinda painful when I attempt to open that side of my jaw too much and even chew or put pressure on it. Thanks world.

Go through four years of a university education, work for a year casually (best I could get) and decide I don't really like it all too much. Annoyed with not knowing if I should go back to try a different degree or persist in a career I might possibly hate. Ah well.

Thus why.

I’m not usually one judge harshly over stupid grammatical errors; I’m sure I make a ton of them myself.

I could read a forum post in barely recognizable English and not bat an eye, but the second I see thus followed directly by why, I immediately despise whoever posted it. It's not even an uncommon mistake.

Someone could post:
"I think kittens are adorable, as are puppies and small children. Thus why I am opposed to putting large numbers of them together in a ring and making them battle to the death in order to appease the monster who lives in my grandmother’s wig."
-And my reaction will still be to feel irrational hatred and certainty that I will never agree with them on anything. Ever.

I think it’s because of the context “thus why” is usually used in. It’s almost always used in the pretentious sounding response of someone trying to belittle someone else. Although… it was also used by professor Layton in the most recent crossover game…

Isn't "thus why" redundant?

It is. Thus why it annoys me. Probably not as much as I made it out to in my first post however. I just cringe a bit whenever I see it.

Editedx2 (because I'm a neurotic mess who is terrified of offending strangers on the internet).

This morning an old lady crashed her car against my house (she was fine and the only apparent damage was some scrapes on her car and my house), and when she was getting her purse and cane out I went over asking if she needed any help since the ground wasn't level.

After saying that she was alright she immediately asked me what I was studying in school.

Even when trying to help someone after a car crash I still can't get away from school questions.

What the hell are my upstairs neighbors doing, it sounds like they're rioting up there with all that stomping.

finally got around to erm, processing...one of the heads in my freezer (i want the skulls,) and i made it through the skinning and fleshing easily enough but i am finding it really hard to handle the simmering

idk it's something with the smell, it's not a BAD smell, in fact it smells like i'm making chicken stock, but mentally it makes me feel super nauseated. i think it's the kind of ...fatty organ smell that makes me gag. i have a stomach of iron but really fatty greasy smells trigger nausea so fast for me and it's been like 3 hours of misery. it can take a good long time for the meat to be tender enough to bone but i don't know if i can handle it much longer :/

i would just toss the head in the garden for a few months but there's plenty of stray dogs around to dig it up and carry it off so i'm hesitant...but i might have to

also all my dragons died and that makes two holiday breeds i've missed

I'm Eighteen now and lived on my own for a few months. I moved back in with my parents and grandmother temporarily while my roommate is in The Philippines, but my grandmother still feels the need to remind me to flush and wash my hands after using the bathroom. And other small shit that I no longer need to be reminded or told to do by my parents like letting the dogs in at night or brushing my teeth.
