Well, let me try to explain. I'll use homosexuality as an example. I don't think it is right, BUT homosexual people are still people and they deserve rights too. I don't support Homosexuality but I'm not against it either.
This is a perfectly fine position to hold, but special attention to the "deserve rights" part! The way I look at it is same-sex marriage (the big issue right now in the LGBTQ community) is less of a religious issue that most people see it as and more of an issue of equal rights.

People have the right to chose what they want to do with their life and I can't change that. It's just sometimes I can't get that things that so obviously seem wrong to me seem right to other people.
Different people come from different backgrounds and develop in different ways. So long as you respect that other people have different ideas, then other people should respect you!

My favorite principal I've learned is to love everyone. No matter heir race, sex, religion or anything! But even though It is my favorite principal, It is probably one of the hardest ones for me to keep.
<3 This is all that matters. You understand what MANY religious people don't - nowhere in the book does it say to totally exclude and hate people who live different lifestyles, but it does say in MANY DIFFERENT PLACES to love and treat everyone equally.

Gez, I swear my posts are progressively making less and less sense. Also, apologies if I made anyone feel uncomfortable or upset. I probably shouldn't have brought it up in the first place. Thanks! You guys are awesome!
Uncomfortable and upset is the reason for the LGBTQA/GSRM thread, really. Not everyone likes to read about that sort of thing, so we contain it all in one spot so it can be avoided if desired (except for this thread, now. heh).
You're awesome too!
