Exactly why I'm not going to prom.

I'm assuming that's the American style of prom. When I went to mine, you went with and stuck with your friends and saw how many times you could get the DJ to play Mr Brightside before he told you to go away. I mean, we were all 16 at the time but still.

90% of people in this prom are going to be 16-18

I should tell you that this is one of those places that has abstinence-only sex ed.

as my school is an all boys school we have a "leaver's buffet", ahah, although one of my teachers has some otp thing going on i swear as she tried to get us to take ballroom dancing lessons but i don't know where that's gone

when we get to 18 we have a mixed gender prom (although it's like 80 boys, 30 girls, so yeah)

my school never had a prom doop doop

i would have never gone to a prom even if we did have one because i can't dance and buying a stupidly expensive dress for one night is dumb to me. i'm probably not even keeping my wedding dress lol.

if the prom had a reputation of getting skanky i definitely wouldn't go. ugh. it just sounds awful and not fun at all. not to mention disease-riddled

Okay y'alls proms were like, terribly chaperoned. Those kids should come to a small semi-rural school in Texas and see if they can pull off the same stuff (they couldn't).

Once we had a teacher give every single one of her classes a half-hour lecture after she saw some kids "grinding" at a Homecoming dance.
"I need to see at least an inch of light in between your bodies when you dance together..." etc.

I'm pretty sure my school's prom is gonna be like that. But then again I'm a Texan too.

I'm kinda at a loss for words here. I started writing a few sentences bu deleted them again because they would probably generalize Americans, but JESUS TITTYFUCKING CHRIST are your teenagers just imported apes that got shaven or what the hell. Just what the hell.

There's a good handful who aren't but I swear it's the greater minority. 3/4ths of this class period alone are fucking retards.

Don't even try to compare prom to the Senior Boat cruise. Awr year

Man even the TEACHERS partied. It was pretty bauss.

Granted, I was told it was a common thing for these two male teachers (one who was actually one of my favorite teachers before knowing this) to party with the new graduates so they could sleep with the now legal girls.

Can't say it's true, certainly but, it wasn't a secret that a lot of girls liked them. They were young and handsome guys surrounded by stupid hormonal girls. Correlations mostly but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.
