i told my mom about my probably urinary tract infection. shes having me do a home remedy before makng a doctors appointment. i have to drink an entire gallon of cranberry juice within 24 hours AND i have to take two 4200mg Cranberry pills, 3 times a day

im going to be pissing like a racehorse

It's not so much the cranberry juice as it is peeing a whole lot to flush out the bacteria. If it doesn't work though then see a doctor. Delaying is not good.

It prevents a UTI, but it does not cure it. Also chugging a gallon of juice is going to wreak hell with your glucose levels.

Every doctor says to never self-treat an existing UTI. They've got medicine that can clear it up in less than day.

well my mom is a cheap skate and she says this apparently worked for her when her pee burned a month ago. and considering she holds the cheddar, i bodaciously have NO choice but to try this first.

im pretty sure id notice if my UTI got worse. like, in the sense that id be in even more pain than i already was???

Actually the symptoms can vanish as the bacteria migrate upwards. Then it comes back as a bladder infection or worse. I'm unsure how fast it can happen, but general consensus from research is to not delay.
