Chapter 8: In which Torizo learns not to take my things

Now this story's a little shorter than the rest, but it's one of my personal favorites, and it gets the spotlight off of me for a change.

So I was tired one day after class. Long day at school and a longer shift at work, so I decided to go see Torizo before going home. Well I get over to her house and we hang out in the den where we usually do, playing video games and watching videos of kittens on the internet (If that's not manly I don't know what is. Kittens are fucking awesome.) and generally enjoying company. Well this day I was extra tired so as we sit on the couch I start to nod off asleep. Now see this couch, I love this couch. There's a cushion ripped off of it and put back in so that when I sit down it just kind of sucks me in and makes me want to go to sleep. Happens every time. Hard to stop it. So I'm sitting here fading in and out of consciousness and Tori's just laughing at me and giving me a shoulder to nap on when next thing I know I peek down and she's poking through my backpack.

Now I don't care, it's not like I have anything to hide, but what I did have, and what she found, was a big pack of spearmint gum. Spearmint is Torizo's favorite flavor of just about anything so she was beside herself with joy at her decision and decided to start chewing it. She would chew one piece and then savor it for a moment and then put in another piece and continue. I think she had a good 3 or 4 pieces before she started to twitch a little bit. Next thing I know she's looking at me like something's wrong and tells me she feels uncomfortable. I take the gum from her and realize that she's been chewing my caffienated gum that I use to make it through boring classes. So I start giggling a bit and she's looking at me like "What the fuck is wrong with you" so I explain to her what she just did.

The look of horror on her face was apparent as she got up and started walking around the room because she was so uncomfortably energetic. See, Torizo is... small, and I am not. She had the caffeine equivalent of 2 bottles of Bawls in that short of a timespan. For reference, I gave her a bottle of Bawls at her first LAN party and she didn't sleep that night. Just couldn't do it. Too much caffeine for her tiny frame.

She then proceeded to hit me.

But for the rest of the evening she was walking around the room, and when she was sitting down, not sitting still. Shaking around like a madwoman. She blamed me, too. Said it was my fault she chewed my caffeinated gum. Which I suppose it may have been. The box didn't exactly advertise and I should have known she would have found anything spearmint that I kept on my person. At the same time, I was so tired that I was powerless to stop her. She kept hitting me.

And I couldn't stop laughing
