You should tell your target directly, it'll suck to ruin the eventual surprise, but it'd suck more to wait for a present that might never come.

I didn't want to wade into TF2 merch. That's a deep pit. You got lucky that I'm as lazy as I am. You've revealed an abject fear of spiders several times throughout the forum and if I had shipped the mushrooms to me first I'd have put several fake/dead spiders in the box to test your courage. I might have even unscrewed the mushroom covers and put spider shapes in there to project unto your wall. In conclusion, be glad it wasn't a Halloween gift.

Also, if you leave dirty dishes out long enough, you might just get authentic fungus growing in your room.
