Sometimes I have the thought of "I wish I had more friends" but then I realize that I have a lot of awesome friends, and I am just wishing for a ridiculously specific type of friend.

I'm paid to rip a 80 years old millionnaire's 700+ movies so we can put them in a multimedia server he can access from anywhere and I have to convert them all to NTSC for the server software to work properly but half of the cases don't mention their region anywhere so I have to convert them just in case and it takes 10 times longer.
I tried reading a PAL one in a regular DVD player and it worked just fine, so I can't just try out the ones with no specified region because I can't tell the difference that way either.

Why in the hell do people think I still hold my original beliefs about homosexuality despite no longer being Christian? I told a friend I don't have a problem with lesbians, and he replied with "No, I'm pretty sure you do."

I'm guessing if they haven't had much contact with you they wouldn't know that you've changed. I've had friends laugh at some 'dirty' joke they found on the internet, and then refuse to show me because they thought I'd just be offended. They just hadn't seen that I'm not as prude anymore cause I hadn't hung out with them.

...As far as I know those friends probably still think I'm like that. Really makes me realize how much I've changed while in college.

Just because you've abandoned a belief system doesn't mean that someone would automatically assume that your opinions on things have changed. Remember, religion isn't the only reason people can be homophobic or against homosexuality. It doesn't always have anything to do with dogma.
