AWKWARD ZOMBIE

So I was looking at facebook today. Despite the joking, I get the feeling there were a number of people who actually were worried the world would end. Those people are kinda depressing.

Truth be told, I was looking forward to hitting Cthulhu in the nose with an umbrella, or something.

To be fair, I think most of us always worry that the world will end, even if we dont actually belive its true. Theres always that tiny little niggle of doubt in the back of our heads that maybe THIS time its true.

Yeah. Logic says that nothing bad will happen today, but then you get all those people believing in the same thing, and....man I dunno, it seems slightly more possible.

There's a whole economy that subsists off that annoying doubt, considering that theres a guy whos been predicting the end of the world since the 70s, and people are STILL buying his books, even though hes wrong every year

Wasn't there a big stink about it last year because somebody, or multiple people, had commited suicide because of his prediction?

Pretty much, but free speech and all that, theres not much that can be done. People were killing themselves when they turned on the Hadron Collider too.

Just a way of making the gene pool a little bit smarter.
