I'm in the midst of one of my depression congas

I need to stop watching things related to love

it's easier to not feel sad about love if you're a cynical, pessimistic asshole who thinks love is akin to a terminal disease

I'd rather not be that guy. I have few enough friends as it is.

being alone gets easier to deal with

I've found it gets worse

Sometimes I go entire weeks without saying a single word.

I eat lunch alone.

On more than one occasion people have completely forgotten I exist.

I feel like I need at least one person who will understand me just so I can validate my own existence.

Maybe I'm just an overly outgoing person, but I find it pretty easy to find conversation and company when I'm feeling down. Hell, I even go to a community college. No one connects unless they already know the person, yet I can always strike up conversation, and I've even met some people who I've gone for coffee and stuff with. I think it's all just about putting yourself in the social light, no matter how "out of place" you might feel. It's one of those things that gets loads easier with repetition. After all, humans are simply supposed to be social creatures. Gotta appeal to that.

I wouldn't know. I'm not nearly cool enough to even know what a cynic is. Is it like one of those people who knows everything and sees the world for what it truly is, because I love those people.
