Turbopunz has been quietly watching for some time now, but it could just be coincidence.

Eh, Turbo always does that as I recall.

@Cori - wow actually I feel dumb for not noticing that. Here I am talking about how big a presence he is without even noticing that he's hardly being a presence at all.
He could just be doing something else, of course. I wouldn't call it suspicious until he keeps it up for a while.

Maybe. I can't really counter your speculation without going into metagame stuff.

It's because I'm really paranoid about self incrimination ever since that one time the town lynched me for arguing against my own lynching. I tend to be quiet because I write posts, realize how suspicious they sound under the right lighting, then close the tab.

Cori: I always wind up doing that by accident. Probably shouldn't have brought up Turbo's past habits, and I have a long history comparing Reyo's behavior between games. Doesn't change my statements about Barabba, though - his early post in this thread were pretty boisterous, so I think it's at least a bit odd that they've stopped so suddenly, regardless of how he behaves elsewhere.

Yeah, metagame or no metagame, it's definitely a weird change.

I don't really like to start lynch bandwagons but I'm really tempted to start one for Barabba right now, not gonna lie. I guess I'll hold off until tomorrow though, to give him a chance to post.

So, it's down to me or Barabba? You must admit, it would be hilarious if the both of us were innocent.
What you said does make sense turbo. Just look at me. A few jokes and suspicions abound.

Don't discount Cori, it's still suspicious to me that such a public role would claim ex-marine. It's just an awful convenient excuse for her to have in the event she gets investigated.

Bear in mind I'm not pushing for anyone specific. I find Cori a bit more suspicious than /u000 and Barabba, but not by a wide enough margin to push me to vote for her immediately.

I find /u000 a bit more suspicious now, since he started vaguely pointing the finger at Turbo after Granny Benson voted to lynch him.

Actually Ycobb, it was because of my role that I asked to be captain! Like I said a few posts back, I don't have any powers or night actions and all I do is look guilty to investigators. If I drew attention to myself on the first day and got targeted by the mafia I knew it wouldn't be too damaging to the town. But I didn't want to stay quiet about my role either. Maybe I should have, shrug.

There's still the fact that no one has stepped up and disputed Cori's claim though, and that makes me trust her for now.

I did say it could be coincidence and it turns out turbo has an excellent reason to remain silent.
It doesn't clear him completely, but now I have no idea who the traitors could be. Barabba has
been quiet, but that's not really proof by itself. I don't know about Cori. Admitting her role pretty
early could have backfired, and so isn't a great strategy if she's a traitor. I suppose the "detective"
could get to the bottom of it. I'm so tempted to reveal my role.

Fair points, Cori. The issue is that if you were actually just a traitor, it's reasonable to believe you'd do the exact same thing, if you thought of it.

As for Granny Benson: I did consider that a bit, and confess to having forgotten it when I made my last post. I'm still working on thinking through how it would work out for someone to counter claim, though. If the actual ex-marine counterclaimed, it'd be a 50/50 on whether they or Cori get lynched yet so they might hesitate in the interest of keeping a low profile. If a mafia counterclaimed, with the right manipulation they might get her killed but would certainly be lynched the next night. Note that the spy wouldn't counterclaim, since they wouldn't show up guilty when investigated.

So yeah. In the span of this post I guess I've mostly convinced myself of Cori's innocence, since only a shortsightedly selfish ex-marine wouldn't counterclaim.

Main problem is that it'd be in the ex Maxine's interest to counterclaim is cori wasn't the marine, because of the conclusion that anyone besides cori that comes up guilty is bad. Traitors could potentially counterclaim, but then it'd just be obvious to cori, who's now in a power position, that they're a traitor. Chances are extremely good Cori's who she says she is.

The main pickle with the first day is even if we're to throw someone under the bus, its just to then overanalyze who voted who during that day to gather evidence. We can go with Bensons vote, but we'd then have to actually pay attention, because its not all that fair to who gets lynched for being lynched under the basis of "well we have to!"

We really should lynch someone, though. And not by RNG.
