OCD is more when you will seriously freak out if you don't do a certain ritual. And you may also do it multiple times to ensure it's done and done right.

It's also not necessarily logical. One might believe that something bad will happen unless one does that thing X number of times.

No, that's how I do it. I can try to stop for a while but I'll go mad if I don't do it.

It dominates my life. My oddly jointed thumb movement.

I've been having a hell of a time trying to sleep the past 3 days. I'm 100% sure it is because of stress over my Junior Project. It's really hurting my motivation/overall attitude. Being on my period doesn't help either.

Same. My counselor said my sleep issues were probably contributing a lot to my depression issues and lack of focus but I just can't seem to get a good sleep cycle going, even when I lay in bed. It's frustrating.

Do you drink a lot of caffeine?

Even if you don't drink it right before bed, having a lot throughout the day can have an effect.

Go to your local drug store and buy some Melatonin. My sleep schedule's already wonky working graveyard shifts, but for a brief period of time I was starting to fall asleep while standing up at work , so one of my managers suggested taking caffeine pills. Hint: never take caffeine pills. They do the job, but they mess you up SO BADLY. Each pill contains the amount of caffeine found in a cup of coffee, but it's the equivalent of downing your coffee in a single gulp. I had even more trouble sleeping for longer than four hours at a time. Another manager suggested I take Melatonin, which is a simple sleep aid, and it set me right and I haven't had any issues since taking it.

Warning: Melatonin gives you some weird-booty dreams. I don't think I'd had many memorable dreams but ever since taking it I wake up thinking, "What."

Melatonin is wonderful. It's the hormone your own brain uses to signal when it's time to sleep, so it's completely natural. There is virtually no risk of overdose, although it can actually be less effective if you take too much at once. It's also difficult for your body to adapt to it like other sleep aids, so it should keep working for a long time. Take it at the same time every night and your body will be able to develop a proper 24-hour circadian rhythm if that's a problem for you.

I work nights and I tend to shift from sleeping during the days when I work - to sleeping at night on my days off, I never really sleep well during the day (best I can do is usually a period of four hours like [IF]), but I put that more down to ambient noise than anything else. My circadian rhythms seem to be more short-term adaptable than a lot of other people's - but that might be down to me having had to work as many night shifts as I have day shifts in the past.

I started using earplugs last week and that helped me achieve a better, more unbroken period of rest - but I don't like using earplugs because I'm currently prone to ear infections. I've invested in some hygienic/washable earplugs now though so I might do okay with those.

I probably depend too much on coffee to get me out the door on my work nights - maybe if I try to go without coffee for a week I would rest up better - either that or I might fall asleep at the wheel while driving into work.

Still doing DDR routines. Finally got my stamina back to an acceptable level (where I can play Standard or higher difficulty multiple times in a row). Still not back to my prime but we got this now.

Also saw an interesting exercise meant for abs that isn't sit-ups. I'm gonna try it for a while and see if it's any good.

Okay so there is this thing that has happens all of my life and I really don't know why it happens but its been bothering me.

There is this weird thing that happens to be once in a while, my vision goes foggy to a point where I have a hard time seeing, my limbs go weak and I might fall or sway a bit, and I need to hold onto something once in a while. This happens for a few seconds and then it goes away.

This happens when I'm walking between rooms, mostly when I walk into my kitchen after sitting for a while. But it also happens when I'm at a friends house or walking outside.

Its very peculiar to me, and I don't know if its a thing or if it happens to anyone else.

That happens to me as well from time to time if I've been sitting for a while and then I get up quickly and immediately walk somewhere. Sometimes it's bad enough that I have to sit back down and take a breather. It can be a few things. Like Stran said it can be low blood sugar. It can also be dehydration. Do you drink a lot of liquids during the day?

Another thing it could be is just a lack of food. I find that I accidentally starve myself from time to time because for some reason it takes me a really long time to feel the sensation of hunger. If you haven't been eating as much recently, I'd suggest making a point of eating three good meals a day. Watching those things should help that clear up a bit (or happen less often, anyway)
