Whats the deal with Easter?

What is it that compels a rabbit to go door to door and hide eggs every year? Where is he getting these eggs anyways? They certainly arent his. Last time I checked, bunnies dont lay eggs. Is that what he spends the rest of the year doing? Going and stealing eggs from the nests of unsuspecting birds, just to hide them? What kind of sick game is this bunny playing?

And what does a bunny hiding eggs have to do with Jesus resurrecting from the dead, anyways? Is the rabbit supposed to represent innocence? Purity? Rabbits have got to be the worst possible thing to have to represent purity. If you dont believe me, try putting two rabbits together in a room for three minutes. Maybe its because Saint Peter is really Peter Rabbit?
