Well, I guess hitting puberty and getting your period doesn't go hand in hand but that's the first thing I think of.

Well, having your period usually is a sign of hitting puberty.

I mean, I hit it pretty early, but six? I don't even want to think about that.

My cousin hit puberty at eight.

That's actually about the age it starts in some girls. Girls, mind you, not dudes. If your cousin is a guy there's something freaky going on there.
